Venice is one of the most beautiful and unique cities in the world. Known for its canals, gondolas, and stunning architecture, Venice is a must-visit destination for any traveler. If you only have two days to spend in this incredible city, here’s what you should do.

Day 1: Explore the City

Morning:

Start your day in San Marco Square, the heart of Venice. It’s the perfect place to get a feel for the city and see some of its most iconic landmarks. Grab a coffee and a pastry from one of the many cafes and bakeries in the area and take a stroll around the square. Be sure to visit St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. These stunning buildings are some of the most recognizable landmarks in Venice and are definitely worth a visit.

Afternoon:

Take a gondola ride through the canals of Venice. This is a classic Venetian experience that you shouldn’t miss. You’ll get to see the city from a unique perspective and get a feel for how Venetians have been getting around for centuries.

Evening:

Head to the Rialto Bridge for sunset. This is one of the most beautiful spots in Venice and the view of the sunset over the Grand Canal is absolutely breathtaking. Afterward, enjoy a traditional Venetian dinner in one of the many restaurants in the area.

Day 2: Discover the Surrounding Islands

Morning:

Take a water taxi to the island of Murano. Murano is famous for its glassblowing and you can watch artisans at work in many of the shops. You can also visit the Glass Museum to learn more about the history of glassblowing on the island.
